Hi, my name is Deano, and I’m a high school student who started this blog to talk about topics I care about. As someone who loves sports and has played on teams myself, I’ve seen how important it is for competition to feel fair. That’s why I wanted to share my thoughts on a subject that’s been debated a lot—whether transgender men should compete in sports categories for individuals assigned female at birth.
In my opinion, allowing transgender men to compete in these categories can make things unfair. Sports are all about hard work, skill, and dedication, but biological differences can give some athletes an advantage over others. This isn’t just about winning or losing—it’s about making sure everyone feels they have a fair chance to compete. When things aren’t fair, it can discourage athletes and even change how people see the sport.
I don’t think this is about disrespecting anyone or saying they shouldn’t play sports. It’s about finding solutions that keep competition fair for everyone. Maybe we need new categories or other ways for transgender athletes to compete without affecting the fairness of existing divisions.
This blog is my way of sharing my thoughts and starting conversations about this tough topic. I think it’s important to talk about these issues in a way that’s respectful but honest. Sports are supposed to bring people together, and by focusing on fairness, we can make sure they stay that way.
